Magnaplate-applied GOLDENEDGE coating on the cutting edges of blades, knives, slicers and other sharp-edged devices resists wear and abrasion while dramatically lengthening service life - by as much as 20 times!
When GOLDENEDGE is applied to cutting edges, its thickness is controlled to within micro-inches, preventing dulling even on angles of 7° - 9°. Because it's processed at low temperatures, this micro-thin, enhanced TiN PVD coating has a very fine grain structure. This results in an extremely low coefficient of friction, as well as a dense, ultra-hard surface that minimizes wear of the edge point.
