Extreme wear resistant chrome replacement coating

Magnaplate BTC™ was developed as an environmentally benign alternative to hard chrome. Its composite structure offers extreme wear resistance with ductility and corrosion resistance.

Hexavalent chromium conversion coatings are used for imparting wear and corrosion protection on a variety of parts in many industries. Although chrome coatings can provide the desired wear and corrosion protection, they are highly toxic and carcinogenic, and thus regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
