Problem:
A manufacturer of equipment for producing custom paint colors, typically found in hardware stores, wanted to increase the life of pump body parts by adding wear resistance and protecting the surfaces from corrosion.

Solution:
Upon evaluation, General Magnaplate's technical team suggested coating the part with Magnaplate HCR because it maximizes the corrosion resistance and hardness of aluminum and aluminum alloys.  Not only does Magnaplate HCR increase hardness up to the equivalent of Rc 65, it has also withstood extreme salt-spray testing to illustrate its corrosion resistance.  The coating performed so well that they decided to coat the cover that goes on top of the pump body too.

General Magnaplate's HCR coating is a superior alternative to other common industry processes such as hard anodizing with nickel acetate, sealed anodizing.
