Problem:
A supplier of equipment to the aircraft industry was designing and manufacturing hydraulic jacks that are used to support the aircraft during maintenance operations.  Given the cost of an aircraft and the potential danger to staff of a jack failing during maintenance, it is imperative that the parts are able to withstand enormous wear and tear while also standing up to the corrosive nature of the weather and the chemicals used during operations.

Solution:
General Magnaplate took the parts - which are about 9" in diameter and 96" long - and coated them in NEDOX because it creates a harder than steel surface and adds permanent lubricity.  The harder surface provided the hydraulic jacks with greater abrasion and galling resistance while the unique synergistic properties of the coating protects against both corrosion and chemical attack.
