Problem:
A machine part responsible for transferring Petri dishes from one station to another was getting heavily scratched during installation, despite the customer attempting to black powder coat it and even coat it with black Teflon™.

Solution:
The issue with the part was that it not only had to be abrasion resistant, but provide lubricity, chemical resistance, corrosion resistance, and eliminate friction.  Despite the tall order, Magnaplate's technical sales team coated the part in TUFRAM, which provided all the necessary properties and solved the problem once and for all.  And just to be safe, TUFRAM is FDA and AgriCanada compliant for direct food contact, and NSF certified to Standard 51.
