General Magnaplate is consolidating its operations and merging its Linden, New Jersey and Arlington, Texas facilities.

By combining all its coating processes, controls and services under one roof, General Magnaplate will maximize its efficiency and take advantage of its substantial investments in modern equipment at the expanded Arlington facility. The enhanced process flow and operational performance will maintain and improve lead times for clients as General Magnaplate strengthens its longstanding focus on customer satisfaction through product quality, performance, innovation and experience.

General Magnaplate is continuing the transition of coating processes from New Jersey to Texas. This transition will include the following coating families: Nedox, Magnaplate HMF, Magnagold, Goldenedge and TiN (PVD).

Starting July 1, 2019 we will no longer process these coatings in our New Jersey plant. If an order is received before July 1, it will be processed in New Jersey. If an order is received after July 1, it will be expedited to our Texas location for processing. Please be aware that lead times could be affected due to the additional shipping time. We will do everything possible to quickly process these orders.

We are offering a two-week grace period during which General Magnaplate will cover shipping costs. After July 15, 2019, any order sent to New Jersey that requires shipment to Texas will be billed directly to the customer. We want to encourage our customers to begin shipping orders directly to our Arlington, TX location as soon as possible to alleviate any potential lead time issues.

We have shut down our thermal spray operations in NJ, as part of the consolidation, and Plasmadize is now only available in Texas. Our Plasmadize® thermal spray composite coating not only protects and restores metal parts, but also has increased lubricity and better mold release than conventional spray methods.

CMPT is a dense, multi-directional, all-metal-weaving process which eliminates the need to machine layup-molds out of large, heavy metal ingots or castings that require so much time to fabricate. It combines the accuracy, precision, and good surface quality previously available only after machining. It enables high-temperature tooling for long or short production runs for cures up to 750° F. The toolface can be made from any alloy, from aluminum to zinc, including high nickel INVAR.
