One such standard that is critical to our success is Nadcap. This program accredits companies that provide special processes — such as coatings — and products for the aerospace industry. Nadcap audits — conducted by the Performance Review Institute — are notoriously stringent, difficult and technical. They cover entire processes from start to finish, including safety measures, testing, documentation, adherence to environmental regulations and shipping the product back to the customer. Auditors specifically look for repeatable precision, documented controls, proper use of materials and equipment, and compliance with established industry best practices.

Upon expanding and upgrading our Arlington, Texas operations, we applied for new accreditation and successfully achieved it in May of 2022. By integrating our ERP system with internal processes and procedures, we ensure full compliance with Nadcap standards — providing our customers with consistent quality, traceability, and confidence in every part we deliver.

Our latest Nadcap recertification is for an 18-month “merit” term, instead of a standard 12-month term. Companies that receive merit terms are audited less frequently, having earned the status by achieving superior audit results with little to no corrective actions or non-conformances. And when a coatings company like Magnaplate continually demonstrates that it has the processes and procedures in place to meet the aerospace industry’s most rigorous standards, customers in any industry can also be sure it also delivers the highest quality coatings for their critical applications.
