At Magnaplate, we’re always enhancing our processes and equipment to provide you with the highest quality surface treatments. We recently upgraded our surface preparation, cleaning and finishing capabilities and took a substantial step forward in our automation efforts with our newest equipment investment — an Empire automated blast unit. Empire is known for building some of the most dependable and efficient blasting equipment in the industry.

This innovative machine will tremendously improve our surface preparation. For example, automated blasting units such as our new Empire machine can be programmed to control a wide range of parameters to meet the exact requirements for the parts being processed. The machine can also repeat the same process for every part in a batch to achieve consistent blast patterns, and all surfaces of a part — including those with complex geometries. The result: exceptional quality, repeatability and reliability.

Because the blaster reduces manual labor as well as the associated workflow impediments and safety concerns, speed and throughput have increased along with the enhanced quality it provides for our customers' parts.
